I was born in Norway and grew up between Spain and Norway, which has given me a natural connection to both languages and cultures. I studied psychology at the University of La Laguna in Spain, and later completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Hispanic literature at the University of Oslo. My master’s thesis explored the narrativity of Javier Marías’ Los enamoramientos from a cognitive-poetic perspective.
I’ve always been drawn to literature and the inner landscapes it opens—whether it’s Houellebecq, Bukowski, Murakami or Ray Loriga. Translation became a natural extension of that interest; not because I lack the talent to create my own stories, but because I love the precision, depth and quiet craftsmanship involved in carrying meaning from one language into another.
